Mishawaka Junior Varsity Cavemen's Late Push Leads To Victory Over Jimtown

By GameChanger Media Mishawaka Junior Varsity Cavemen snatched the lead late in their 8-7 victory over Jimtown on Thursday. The game was tied at seven in the top of the seventh when Kole Neace hit a sacrifice fly, scoring one run. Mishawaka Junior Varsity Cavemen came back to win despite trailing 7-3 in the fourth. Jimtown got on the board in the second inning after an error scored one run. Mishawaka Junior Varsity Cavemen captured the lead, 2-1, in the top of the third after Gavin Franks doubled down the right field line, and Xavier Mercado grounded out, each scoring one run. Jimtown flipped the game on its head in the bottom of the fourth, scoring six runs on four hits to take the lead, 7-3. The biggest blow in the inning was an error that drove in two.
