Varsity Cavemen Couldn’t Get Things Going Against Northridge 2-0

By GameChanger Media Both teams were strong on the mound on Monday, but Northridge Varsity Raiders was just a little bit stronger at the plate in their 2-0 victory over Mishawaka Varsity Cavemen. Colton Handley started the game for Mishawaka Varsity Cavemen and recorded 18 outs. Northridge Varsity Raiders got on the board in the bottom of the fourth inning after Luke Mann grounded out, and Brody Wood singled to the left side of the infield, each scoring one run. Braxton Nagy earned the win for Northridge Varsity Raiders. The lefty surrendered three hits and zero runs over seven innings, striking out four and walking one. Handley took the loss for Mishawaka Varsity Cavemen. The starting pitcher went six innings, surrendering two runs on three hits, striking out five and walking four. Braedyn Smith went 2-for-3 at the plate to lead Mishawaka Varsity Cavemen in hits. Mishawaka Varsity Cavemen turned one double play in the game. Wood led Northridge Varsity Raiders with two hits in three at bats. Mann and Wood each drove in one run for Northridge Varsity Raiders. Northridge Varsity Raiders turned one double play in the game. Northridge Varsity Raiders didn't commit a single error in the field. Kyle Walther had the most chances in the field with six.
