Mishawaka Varsity Cavemen Lose To Concord Varsity Minutemen By GameChanger Media Mishawaka Varsity Cavemen lost to Concord Varsity Minutemen 6-3 on Wednesday. Concord Varsity Minutemen got on the board in the first inning after Myles Jones singled, scoring one run. Concord Varsity Minutemen added to their early lead in the bottom of the second inning after Ian Watson doubled to center field, Mark Herman singled to center field, and Mishawaka Varsity Cavemen committed an error, each scoring one run. Concord Varsity Minutemen added two runs in the third after Herman singled down the left field line. Jones earned the win for Concord Varsity Minutemen. The pitcher surrendered four hits and three runs over five innings, striking out 11 and walking six. Braedyn Smith took the loss for Mishawaka Varsity Cavemen. The starting pitcher went six innings, allowing six runs (five earned) on 11 hits, striking out six and walking one. Izaiah Bute, Drew Ginter, Shawn Nowacki, and Gage Spychalski each collected one hit for Mishawaka Varsity Cavemen. Bute and Aiden Rogers each drove in one run for Mishawaka Varsity Cavemen. Kamdon Putz led Mishawaka Varsity Cavemen with two walks. Overall, the team had a strong eye at the plate, amassing six walks for the game.
