Mishawaka Freshman Cavemen got on the board in the bottom of the first inning after Carson Gorsuch stole home, and Chesterton committed an error, each scoring one run. Mishawaka Freshman Cavemen added to their early lead in the bottom of the third inning after Liam Summers walked, Chesterton committed an error, Gaeton Groninger walked, Gorsuch walked, and Landon Rose scored after tagging up, each scoring one run. Groninger earned the win for Mishawaka Freshman Cavemen.
