By GameChanger Media Even though Mishawaka Junior Varsity Cavemen collected nine hits to Warsaw Junior Varsity Tigers's eight, they still fell 12-7 on Monday at Boggs Park. Alex Demaegd led Mishawaka Junior Varsity Cavemen with three hits. Warsaw Junior Varsity Tigers got on the board in the bottom of the first inning after Chris Stenoish walked, Brody Heady flew into a double play, and Ty Martin singled to right field, each scoring one run. Mishawaka Junior Varsity Cavemen tied the game in the top of the second thanks to a double by Corin Shepley, and an error. A steal of home by Andrew Toney gave Mishawaka Junior Varsity Cavemen the lead, 4-3, in the top of the third. Warsaw Junior Varsity Tigers flipped the game on its head in the bottom of the third, scoring five runs on two hits to take the lead, 8-4. The biggest blow in the inning was a single by Makayle Cassidy that drove in two. Makayle Cassidy homered to center field, scoring two runs in the bottom of the sixth for the Warsaw Junior Varsity Tigers. Chris Stenoish earned the win for Warsaw Junior Varsity Tigers. The hurler allowed seven hits and six runs (three earned) over four innings, striking out three and walking four. Jackson Chlebek pitched three and two-thirds innings in relief for Mishawaka Junior Varsity Cavemen. The reliever surrendered three hits and four runs (three earned) while, striking out four and walking one. Xavier Mercado took the loss for Mishawaka Junior Varsity Cavemen.
