Warsaw Varsity Tigers Squeaks By Mishawaka Varsity Cavemen In Pitchers Duel By GameChanger Media Both teams were strong on the mound on Monday, but Warsaw Varsity Tigers was just a little bit stronger at the plate in their 3-1 victory over Mishawaka Varsity Cavemen. Colton Handley (1-2) started the game for Mishawaka Varsity Cavemen and recorded 18 outs. Mishawaka Varsity Cavemen got on the board in the fourth inning after an error scored one run. Warsaw Varsity Tigers took the lead in the bottom of the fourth inning after Cohen Heady grounded into a fielder's choice, and Logan Kim lined out, each scoring one run. Zac Miller earned the win for Warsaw Varsity Tigers. The starter allowed one hit and one run (zero earned) over five innings, striking out seven and walking one. Handley took the loss for Mishawaka Varsity Cavemen. The starting pitcher went six innings, giving up three runs (one earned) on two hits, striking out five and walking two. Kellan Bailey earned the save. Will Hartzke went 1-for-3 at the plate to lead Mishawaka Varsity Cavemen in hits. Bailey and Heady were tough to handle back-to-back in the lineup, as each drove in one run for Warsaw Varsity Tigers. Bailey and Grady Nelson each collected one hit for Warsaw Varsity Tigers.
