Demaegd Drives In 4 To Lead Mishawaka Junior Varsity Cavemen Past Elkhart Christian Academy Varsity Eagles

By GameChanger Media Alex Demaegd drove in four runs on two hits to lead Mishawaka Junior Varsity Cavemen past Elkhart Christian Academy Varsity Eagles 14-2 on Saturday at Elkhart Christian Academy. Alex Demaegd doubled in the second inning, scoring two runs, and doubled in the third inning, scoring two. Mishawaka Junior Varsity Cavemen got on the board in the first inning after Kole Neace doubled, scoring one run. Mishawaka Junior Varsity Cavemen added two runs in the second. Alex Demaegd doubled down the left field line, making the score 3-0. A single by Chase Semak, a single by Liam Hacker, and a double by Alex Demaegd helped Mishawaka Junior Varsity Cavemen extend their early lead in the third. Gavin Franks earned the win for Mishawaka Junior Varsity Cavemen. The reliever gave up five hits and two runs (one earned) over six and one-third innings, striking out six and walking none. James Ramirez took the loss for Elkhart Christian Academy Varsity Eagles. The starter went four and one-third innings, allowing eight runs (seven earned) on seven hits, striking out four and walking eight.
