Cavemen Freshmen Have Twelve Hits But Fall To Concord C Team Minutemen

By GameChanger Media Johnny Huemmer collected three hits in three at bats, but Mishawaka Freshman Cavemen lost to Concord C Team Minutemen 10-7 on Tuesday. Huemmer singled in the first inning, singled in the fifth inning, and singled in the third inning. Mishawaka Freshman Cavemen lost despite out-hitting Concord C Team Minutemen 12 to eight. Huemmer and Nolan Kuhnle each collected three hits for Mishawaka Freshman Cavemen. Concord C Team Minutemen got on the board in the top of the first inning after Grayson Miller drew a walk, scoring one run, Camdyn Marner singled, scoring one run, and Tyson Amezquita grounded out, scoring one run. Concord C Team Minutemen added to their early lead in the top of the third inning after Jaydon Yoder singled up the middle, Mykah Pappas doubled down the left field line, and Concord C Team Minutemen scored on a passed ball, each scoring one run. Gaeton Groninger stepped on the hill first for Mishawaka Freshman Cavemen. The righty surrendered five hits and seven runs (six earned) over three innings, striking out two and walking four. Marner stepped on the mound first for Concord C Team Minutemen. The starter surrendered 12 hits and seven runs (six earned) over seven innings, striking out nine and walking seven. Mishawaka Freshman Cavemen accumulated 12 hits in the game. Mishawaka Freshman Cavemen had a strong eye at the plate, piling up seven walks for the game. Carson Gorsuch and Groninger led the team with two bases on balls each. Mishawaka Freshman Cavemen turned two double plays in the game.
