By GameChanger Media Mishawaka Junior Varsity Cavemen were triumphant over Plymouth Junior Varsity Pilgrims 12-9 on Monday at Plymouth High School. Mishawaka Junior Varsity Cavemen got on the board in the top of the first inning after Kole Neace singled, scoring two runs, Aiden Rogers doubled, scoring three runs, Cayson Meyer singled, scoring one run, and Alex Demaegd singled, scoring two runs. Plymouth Junior Varsity Pilgrims scored six runs on five hits in the bottom of the sixth inning. Carter Jones singled, scoring one run, Klynt Verhaeghe singled, scoring one run, an error scored one run, Tucker Sarver drew a walk, scoring one run, Cruz Rosas singled, scoring one run, and Hueston Oliverez drew a walk, scoring one run. Gavin Franks earned the win for Mishawaka Junior Varsity Cavemen. The starting pitcher surrendered six hits and seven runs (four earned) over five innings, striking out nine and walking three. Landon Tyler took the loss for Plymouth Junior Varsity Pilgrims. The hurler went two innings, allowing eight runs on seven hits, striking out three and walking five. Jackson Chlebek appeared in relief for Mishawaka Junior Varsity Cavemen. Mishawaka Junior Varsity Cavemen tallied 12 hits in the game.
