Westview Warriors Varsity ‘25 Squeaks By Mishawaka Varsity Cavemen In Pitchers Duel By GameChanger Media Both teams were strong on the hill on Saturday, but Westview Warriors Varsity ‘25 was just a little bit stronger at the plate in their 3-0 victory over Mishawaka Varsity Cavemen. Colton Handley started the game for Mishawaka Varsity Cavemen and recorded 18 outs. Westview Warriors Varsity ‘25 got on the board in the bottom of the third inning after Jaxon Engle doubled to center field, and Maverick Deveau singled, each scoring one run. Handley led things off on the hill for Mishawaka Varsity Cavemen. The starter allowed seven hits and three runs (two earned) over six innings, striking out five and walking one. Max Engle led things off on the hill for Westview Warriors Varsity ‘25. The hurler gave up three hits and zero runs over six innings, striking out nine and walking one. Number seven hitter, Drew Ginter, showed the depth of Mishawaka Varsity Cavemen's lineup, by leading them with two hits in three at bats. Mishawaka Varsity Cavemen turned two double plays in the game. Deveau went 2-for-3 at the plate to lead Westview Warriors Varsity ‘25 in hits.
