Junior Varsity vs NorthWood High School The JV Girls soccer team lost on Tuesday night to Northwood 3-0. Down 2-0 midway through the second half, Sophomore Elyse Taber placed a perfect pass into the box to freshman Ciara Foley who attempted a right-footed half volley but was turned away on a great save by the Northwood goalkeeper. Junior goalkeeper, Laya Al Mahdawi, kept the Lady Cavemen in the game with 15 saves, but the Panthers, and no available second half substitutions proved to be too much for Mishawaka. Nine players for the young JV Girls soccer team logged 70 minutes, a full game, without a substitution. This hard-working group continues to give great effort, and they play with passion until the final whistle. The JV Lady Cavemen return to action this Thursday when they travel to Culver Academy for a 5:30pm match.
