MISHAWAKA HIGH SCHOOL VS IHSAA SECTIONAL 41 37 Team 1 2 3 4 Mishawaka High School 4 12 12 13 IHSAA Sectional 11 3 12 11 Wednesday night the Lady Cavemen played Plymouth in their first round game of the sectionals at SB Washington. Plymouth beat the Lady Cavemen by 21 points during the season, but last night was different. Lady Cavemen play their hearts out and fought until the end. After being down 8-0 early in the first quarter and 11-4 after one, the Lady Cavemen bounced back and played great defense in the second quarter and were able to grab a 2 point lead going into the half. With a game full of momentum shifts in the third, the Lady Cavemen still held a lead of 2 going into the fourth. A quick 4-0 run gave them some breathing room, but Plymouth kept it close until the Lady Cavemen made another small run to get the lead up to 8 with 2 minutes to go. The Lady Cavemen were able to keep the lead and knock down key free throws in the final minute and get the victory! The Lady Cavemen were lead by seniors Kasha Davidovic with 29 points and Asiah Shaffer with 15 points. They move on to the Sectional Semifinals Friday night as they play SB Washington at 8pm.
