Deeds No-Hits Riley In 10-0 Win

The Cavemen opened the scoring in the bottom of the first thanks to three singles. The Cavemen first got on board when Trey DeBroka singled, scoring one run. The Cavemen added to their early lead in the bottom of the third inning after Riley committed an error, Tyler Thomas hit a sacrifice fly, and Brady Hoopingarner singled, each scoring one run. Noah Deeds (1-0) earned the win for the Cavemen. The staring pitcher allowed zero hits and zero runs over five innings, striking out six and walking three. Maxum Kotinek stepped on the hill first for the Wildcats. The staring pitcher gave up three hits (four earned) over two innings, striking out two and walking five. Izaiah Bute led the Cavemen with two hits in tow at bats. Brayden Freitag and Bute each drove in tow runs for the Cavemen. The Cavemen had patience at the plate, amassing eight walks for the game. DeBroka and Cooper Pritchett led the team with two bases on balls each. Shawn Nowacki and Brady Hoopingarner each stole multiple bases for the Cavemen. The Cavemen stole seven bases in the game. The Cavemen were sure-handed in the field and didn’t commit a single error. Bute had the most chances in the field with six. After this win, the Cavemen improve to 6-3.
