MHS pitcher Camila Ramirez-Quijada twirled a one-hitter, allowing only a lead off single in the top of the fifth inning while striking out 5 in a five inning complete game. The Lady Cavemen pounded out 13 hits as a team. Sophomore Karmen Frazier returned from an injury with a 3 for 3 performance (including 2 doubles) and 3 RBI’s. Mishawaka scored two runs in the 1st and 3rd inning each before icing the game with 3 runs in the 4th and 5th innings. In the 4th Olivia Bultinck and Brynn Lewinski belted back to back triples before Khloe Hershey launched a mammoth home run. Emma Hammond and Lilly Hanback each added a pair of hits. With the win, MHS improves to 7-4 overall and 3-0 in the Northern Lakes Conference. Next action for the Lady Cavemen is Monday at Baker Park. The Varsity team will host Concord in an NLC contest.
