Gerver doubled in the fifth inning, singled in the second, and singled in the first inning. Mishawaka were first to get on the board in the first when Grace Matherly drew a walk, scoring one run. Cruz singled, which helped John Glenn JV tie the game at one in the top of the second. Mishawaka flipped the game on its head in the bottom of the second, scoring five runs on one hit to take a 6-1 lead. The biggest blow in the inning was a walk by Matherly that drove in two. Aleigh Myers earned the win for Mishawaka. The righty allowed 11 hits and six runs (five earned) over seven innings, striking out seven and walking one. Woff stepped in the circle first for John Glenn. The starting pitcher surrendered three hits and six runs over one and one-third innings, striking out none and walking eight. Gerver and Alexa Davis each collected three hits for Mishawaka. Matherly led Mishawaka with four walks. Overall, the team had a strong eye at the plate, accumulating 12 walks for the game. Mishawaka turned two double plays in the game. John Glenn amassed 11 hits in the game. R. Winchell, W. Winchell, and Wesafer each collected two hits for Glenn. Westafer, Baugher, Cruz, and Mcllellan each drove one run for John Glenn. John Glenn turned one double play in the game. Mishawaka will travel to Northwood for their next game on Wednesday.
