Girls Varsity Softball beats NorthWood 9 – 1

The hosts scored an unearned run in the first, but the visiting Lady Cavemen responded in their next at bat thanks to a 3-RBI double by senior Cassie Connell to put MHS in the lead for good. The junior pitching duo of Lilly St Clair and Camila Ramirez-Quijada held the Panthers in check with just 5 hits on the night. The Cavemen clubbed 14 hits, half of which were extra base hits. Lilly St Clair had four hits and Khloe Hershey went 3 for 4. Holly Shine had a double and a triple as Mishawaka won their sixth consecutive game to improve to 9 and 4 on the season and 5-0 in the Northern Lakes Conference.
