Lilly St Clair spun a one-hitter and her defense played errorless ball behind her as MHS improved to 12-4 on the season and 8-0 in the Northern Lakes Conference. The Lady Cavemen were efficient offensively with 9-hits, 6-stolen bases, a walk, one hit by pitch and a pair of sacrifices, leaving only 2-runners on base. Holly Shine paced the attack going 3 for 3. Desiree Couve’ added 2-hits and scored 2-runs. Olivia Bultinck and Lilly Hanback also each scored a pair of runs as Mishawaka strengthens their hold on first place in the NLC. The game ended in ‘walk-off’ fashion as Kallahan Steinman drilled a 2-RBI single to end the game in the bottom of the 5th inning. Overall the Lady Cavemen have won 9 in a row. The MHS Softballers host Wawasee in a key Northern Lakes Conference game Thursday night at 5:30pm at Baker Park in a Varsity only game.
