Mishawaka JV Baseball Defeats Plymouth 10-7

The Cavemen got on the board in the top of the first inning after Lucas DeWilkins singled, and a run scored on a wild pitch. The Pilgrims jumped into the lead in the bottom of the third when Ben Shively singled in a run and an error scored two runs. Mishawaka flipped the game on its head in the top of the fourth, scoring seven runs on four hit to tak the lead for good. The biggest blow in the inng was a single by Kole Neace on an 0-2 count that drove in two. Jack Taylor earned the win for Mishawaka. He started and gave up five hits and three earned runs. Xavier Mercado gave up two runs in one inning of relief. Liam Hacker came on for one and two thirds inning and gave up one run. Kole Neace finished the game with one inning of shutout baseball to earn the save. Dominick Vasquez started for the Pilgrims on the mound. He took the tough loss giving up five runs (two earned). Mishawaka had twelve hits in the game. Deeds and DeWilkins had multiple hits in the game. The Cavemen collected six walks led by Alex Dermody with three. They also collected six stolen bases.
