Ginter’s Clutch Hitting Propels Mishawaka JV Cavemen To Victory Over Wawasee Junior Varsity Warriors

Drew Ginter hit an inside the park home run in the second inning, scoring three runs, and singled in the third inning, scoring one. Mishawaka JV Cavemen got on the board in the top of the first inning after Wawasee Junior Varsity Warriors committed an error, Jayden Pyle grounded out, and Colten Handley hit a sacrifice fly, each scoring one run. Mishawaka JV Cavemen added four more runs in the top of the second inning on three hits. Noah Deeds singled, scoring one run, and Drew Ginter hit an inside the park home run, scoring three runs. Mishawaka JV Cavemen scored six runs on six hits in the top of the third inning. A wild pitch scored two runs, Noah Deeds singled, scoring one run, Drew Ginter singled, scoring one run,Jayden Pyle singled, scoring one run, and Colten Handley grounded out, scoring one run. Mishawaka JV Cavemen scored eight runs on six hits in the top of the fourth inning. Noah Deeds singled, scoring one run, Kole Neace doubled, scoring two runs, Jayden Pyle doubled, scoring two runs, an error scored one run, Alex Dermody singled, scoring one run, and Jack Taylor doubled, scoring one run. Kole Neace earned the win for Mishawaka JV Cavemen. He gave up two hits and four runs (one earned) over five innings, striking out two and walking two. Kyhan Heisler took the loss for Wawasee Junior Varsity Warriors. The right-handed pitcher went two innings, surrendering 10 runs (seven earned) on seven hits, striking out two and walking two. Mishawaka JV Cavemen piled up 18 hits in the game. Jayden Pyle, Drew Ginter, and Noah Deeds each collected three hits for Mishawaka JV Cavemen. Jayden Pyle and Drew Gintereach drove in four runs for Mishawaka JV Cavemen. Landon Johns and Kole Neace each collected multiple hits for Mishawaka JV Cavemen. Noah Deeds, Landon Johns, and Kole Neace each stole multiple bases for Mishawaka JV Cavemen. Mishawaka JV Cavemen ran wild on the base paths, piling up nine stolen bases for the game. Mason Flores and Hunter Catron each collected one hit for Wawasee Junior Varsity Warriors. Derek Morrison, Camden Reel, and Evan Byler each drove in one run for Wawasee Junior Varsity Warriors.
