Mishawaka C-Team Claims Victory Over Northridge to Win the C-Team Tournament at Baker Park

Mishawaka Cavemen C Team first got on the board when Chase Semak drew a walk, scoring one run. Mishawaka Cavemen C Team added to their early lead in the top of the second inning after, and Mishawaka Cavemen C Team scored on a passed ball, each scoring one run. Northridge Raiders Freshman scored on a passed ball, which helped Northridge Raiders Freshman tie the game at five in the bottom of the third. Mishawaka Cavemen C Team flipped the game on its head in the top of the fourth, scoring seven runs on one hit to take a 12-5 lead. The biggest blow in the inning was a walk by Chase Semak that drove in two. Aiden Rogers earned the win for Mishawaka Cavemen C Team. The right-handed pitcher gave up five hits and seven runs (two earned over six innings, striking out five and walking seven. Karsyn Rumfelt took the loss for Northridge Raiders Freshman. The right-handed pitcher went three and one-third innings, surrendering nine runs (seven earned) on one hit, striking out four and walking 13. Alex Demaegd, Xavier Mercado, and Chase Semak each collected one hit for Mishawaka Cavemen C Team. Ryan Ecker, Aiden Rogers, David Sorensen, Alex Demaegd, Xavier Mercado, and Chase Semak each drove in one run for Mishawaka Cavemen C Team. Mishawaka Cavemen C Team had a strong eye at the plate, accumulating 18 walks for the game. Aiden Rogers and Liam Hacker led the team with three bases on balls each. Alex Demaegd stole three bases. Mishawaka Cavemen C Team stole four bases in the game. Karsyn Rumfelt provided pop in the middle of the lineup, and led Northridge Raiders Freshman with three runs batted in. The right-handed hitter went 1-for-4 on the day. Jacob Lehman, Karsyn Rumfelt, Colin Hauser, Chase Garman, and Preston Ryan each collected one hit for Northridge Raiders Freshman. Northridge Raiders Freshman had patience at the plate, collecting seven walks for the game. Colin Hauser and Chase Garman led the team with two free passes each. Northridge Raiders Freshman turned one double play in the game. Mishawaka Cavemen C Team will travel to Mishawaka Marian C Team Knights for their next game on Tuesday.
