Sophomore Colten Handley and the Cavemen Shutout Warsaw Tigers

Colton Handley started the game for Mishawaka Varsity Cavemen and recorded 21 outs. Mishawaka Varsity Cavemen got on the board in the top of the fourth inning after Gage Spychalski grounded out, and Warsaw Varsity Tigers committed an error, each scoring one run. Handley earned the win for Mishawaka Varsity Cavemen. The starting pitcher allowed five hits and zero runs over seven innings, striking out five and walking two. Zac Miller took the loss for Warsaw Varsity Tigers. They went seven innings, surrendering two runs (one earned) on three hits, striking out none and walking four. Cooper Pritchett, Kamdon Putz, and Trey DeBroka each collected one hit for Mishawaka Varsity Cavemen. Spychalski led the team with one run batted in. Mishawaka Varsity Cavemen were sure-handed and didn’t commit a single error. Brayden Freitag made the most plays with eight. Leadoff hitter Khareus Miller led Warsaw Varsity Tigers with two hits in three at bats. Warsaw Varsity Tigers turned one double play in the game.
