Mishawaka Marian Varsity Knights were the first to get on the board in the first when Bryce LaSane grounded out, scoring one run. Mishawaka Marian Varsity Knights added to their early lead in the bottom of the third inning after LaSane walked, Evann Schmidtendorf was struck by a pitch, and Cole Hundt lined out, each scoring one run. Paddy Keefer earned the win for Mishawaka Marian Varsity Knights. They surrendered three hits and zero runs over six innings, striking out four and walking two. Drew Ginter took the loss for Mishawaka Varsity Cavemen. They went three innings, giving up four runs on two hits, striking out one and walking six. Cooper Pritchett, Brayden Freitag, and Gage Spychalski each collected one hit for Mishawaka Varsity Cavemen. Mishawaka Varsity Cavemen turned two double plays in the game. Schmidtendorf and LaSane were tough to handle back-to-back in the lineup, as each drove in two runs for Mishawaka Marian Varsity Knights. Schmidtendorf and John Oliver each collected two hits for Mishawaka Marian Varsity Knights. Jake Oliver led Mishawaka Marian Varsity Knights with two walks.
