Mishawaka Varsity Cavemen got on the board in the second inning after an error scored one run. Penn Kingsmen Varsity jumped back into the lead in the top of the fourth inning after RJ Cromartie doubled, Bennett Hartford singled, and Austin Eysol hit a sacrifice fly, each scoring one run. Cayden Stockbridge earned the win for Penn Kingsmen Varsity. The righty surrendered two hits and one run (zero earned) over two innings, striking out two and walking none. Colton Handley took the loss for Mishawaka Varsity Cavemen. The starting pitcher went four innings, allowing three runs (one earned) on four hits, striking out none and walking two. Dawson French led things off on the hill for Penn Kingsmen Varsity. The righty surrendered one hit and zero runs over one inning, striking out none and walking none. Trey DeBroka went 2-for-4 at the plate to lead Mishawaka Varsity Cavemen in hits. Cooper Pritchett and Tyler Thomas each drove in one run for Mishawaka Varsity Cavemen. Cromartie provided pop in the middle of the lineup, and led Penn Kingsmen Varsity with two runs batted in. They went 1-for-3 on the day. River Pecina went 3-for-4 at the plate to lead Penn Kingsmen Varsity in hits. The Cavemen finish the regular season 13-14. Sectionals begin tomorrow.
