Mishawaka Cavemen C-Team Loses Despite Out Hitting South Bend Adams C-Team Eagles

May 14, 2026 vs. South Bend Adams C-Team Eagles Even though Mishawaka Cavemen C-Team collected eight hits to South Bend Adams C-Team Eagles's six, they still fell 9-8 on Thursday at Mishawaka High School Ward Baker Park. Huemmer and Forslund each collected two hits for Mishawaka Cavemen C-Team. Mishawaka Cavemen C-Team fought back after falling down by four runs in the sixth inning. The comeback fell just short though. Mishawaka Cavemen C-Team closed the gap by scoring on a fly out and a single. Mishawaka Cavemen C-Team got on the board in the bottom of the first inning after South Bend Adams C-Team Eagles committed an error, and Forslund singled to center field, each scoring one run. South Bend Adams C-Team Eagles captured the lead, 4-2, in the top of the third after Rogers walked, Winston was struck by a pitch, Glore flew out, and Arnold singled to right field, each scoring one run. Mishawaka Cavemen C-Team tied the game up in the bottom of the third thanks to two singles. Mishawaka Cavemen C-Team tied the game at four on a single by Huemmer. South Bend Adams C-Team Eagles captured the lead, 6-4, in the top of the fourth after Winston was struck by a pitch, and Glore singled to the left side of the infield, each scoring one run. Gramza led things off on the hill for Mishawaka Cavemen C-Team. The starting pitcher gave up four hits and seven runs (six earned) over four and one-third innings, striking out seven and walking three. Rogers started on the mound for South Bend Adams C-Team Eagles. The starter allowed six hits and five runs (three earned) over four innings, striking out five and walking three. Forslund, Cochran, and Kuhnle each drove in two runs for Mishawaka Cavemen C-Team. Mishawaka Cavemen C-Team ran wild on the base paths, amassing six stolen bases for the game. Williams, Johnson, Glore, Arnold, Winston, and Rogers each collected one hit for South Bend Adams C-Team Eagles. Glore and Winston were tough to handle back-to-back in the lineup, as each drove in two runs for South Bend Adams C-Team Eagles. Williams stole three bases.
