Mishawaka Cavemen C-Team Fight Back In Loss To Concord C Team Minuteman

May 5, 2026 vs. Concord C Team Minuteman Despite a 7-run deficit in the third inning, Mishawaka Cavemen C-Team almost came all the way back, eventually falling 12-11 to Concord C Team Minuteman on Tuesday at Concord High School. Mishawaka Cavemen C-Team closed the gap by scoring on a , a walk, a line out, a , a single, a walk, and a walk. Despite the loss, Mishawaka Cavemen C-Team did collect seven hits in the high-scoring affair. Unfortunately, Concord C Team Minuteman had 13 hits on the way to victory. Concord C Team Minuteman got on the board in the bottom of the first inning after Spilman singled down the left field line, and Lemmon grounded out, each scoring one run. Concord C Team Minuteman added to their early lead in the bottom of the second inning after Rolon doubled to center field, Spilman singled, and Concord C Team Minuteman scored on a passed ball, each scoring one run. Mishawaka Cavemen C-Team made the score 5-3 in the top of the third inning when Cochran homered to center field, scoring two runs, and Joiner grounded out, scoring one run. Concord C Team Minuteman scored five runs on three hits in the bottom of the third inning. Santoyo grounded out, scoring one run, Pinarski singled, scoring one run, and a steal of home scored two runs. Concord C Team Minuteman scored one run in the bottom of the fifth on a solo home run to right field by Spilman. Mishawaka Cavemen C-Team tied the game in the top of the seventh thanks to a single by Davis, a walk by Claytor, and a walk by Huemmer. Campanello earned the win for Concord C Team Minuteman. The right-handed pitcher gave up one hit and eight runs (four earned) over two and one-third innings, striking out three and walking seven. Huemmer took the loss for Mishawaka Cavemen C-Team. The right-handed pitcher went three innings, allowing two runs (one earned) on three hits, striking out three and walking one. Kuhnle started the game for Mishawaka Cavemen C-Team. The starter gave up nine hits and eight runs (six earned) over two and two-thirds innings, striking out three and walking two. Spilman started on the bump for Concord C Team Minuteman. The right-handed pitcher surrendered six hits and three runs (two earned) over four innings, striking out six and walking one. Cochran provided pop in the middle of the lineup, and led Mishawaka Cavemen C-Team with two runs batted in. The 3-hole hitter went 2-for-4 on the day. Davis and Cochran each collected two hits for Mishawaka Cavemen C-Team. Mishawaka Cavemen C-Team had a strong eye at the plate, collecting eight walks for the game. Huemmer, Claytor, and Joiner led the team with two bases on balls each. Davis and Claytor each stole multiple bases for Mishawaka Cavemen C-Team. Mishawaka Cavemen C-Team ran wild on the base paths, piling up five stolen bases for the game. Mishawaka Cavemen C-Team turned one double play in the game. Concord C Team Minuteman amassed 13 hits in the game. Spilman led Concord C Team Minuteman with three runs batted in. The right-handed hitter went 5-for-5 on the day. Pinarski and Rolon each collected multiple hits for Concord C Team Minuteman. Concord C Team Minuteman had patience at the plate, amassing six walks for the game. Rolon and Decker led the team with two free passes each. Spilman stole two bases. Concord C Team Minuteman ran wild on the base paths, collecting six stolen bases for the game.
