Cochran Has Lots Of Hits But Mishawaka Cavemen C-Team Fall To South Bend Saint Joesph

April 28, 2026 vs. South Bend Saint Joesph Cochran collected three hits in three at bats, but Mishawaka Cavemen C-Team lost to South Bend Saint Joesph 11-8 on Tuesday at St. Joe High School Northfield Athletic Complex. Cochran singled in the second inning, singled in the fifth inning, and singled in the seventh inning. Mishawaka Cavemen C-Team got on the board in the top of the first inning after Forslund doubled to center field, and Joiner lined into a double play, each scoring one run. South Bend Saint Joesph took the lead in the bottom of the first inning after Lasane flew out, Hamil flew out, and Farrell singled to right field, each scoring one run. In the top of the second inning, Mishawaka Cavemen C-Team went back into the lead after Fisher walked, and Cochran singled to center field, each scoring one run. Harley grounded out, which helped South Bend Saint Joesph tie the game at four in the bottom of the fourth. Mishawaka Cavemen C-Team took the lead in the top of the fifth. Forslund singled, scoring one run, to give Mishawaka Cavemen C-Team the upper hand, 5-4. South Bend Saint Joesph captured the lead, 8-5, in the bottom of the fifth when Blazejewski lined out, scoring one run, Harley singled, scoring one run, and Vitale doubled, scoring two runs. Harley earned the win for South Bend Saint Joesph. The reliever surrendered five hits and four runs (one earned) over four innings, striking out four and walking three. Delgado took the loss for Mishawaka Cavemen C-Team. The right-handed pitcher went two and one-third innings, surrendering seven runs (six earned) on three hits, striking out one and walking seven. Gramza started on the mound for Mishawaka Cavemen C-Team. The pitcher allowed eight hits and four runs over three and two-thirds innings, striking out none and walking one. Swoveland led things off on the hill for South Bend Saint Joesph. The hurler allowed four hits and four runs over three innings, striking out none and walking six. Mishawaka Cavemen C-Team tallied nine hits in the game. Fisher, Huemmer, Forslund, Cochran, Chester, and Joiner each drove in one run for Mishawaka Cavemen C-Team. Mishawaka Cavemen C-Team had patience at the plate, amassing nine walks for the game. Huemmer and Joiner led the team with two free passes each. Pulaski stole two bases.
