Mishawaka Varsity Cavemen Walk It Off Against Mishawaka Marian April 25, 2026 vs. Mishawaka Marian It came down to the wire on Saturday at Mishawaka High School Ward Baker Park, as Mishawaka Varsity Cavemen grabbed the victory in walk-off fashion, 7-6, over Mishawaka Marian. Mishawaka Varsity Cavemen were down 6-5 in the bottom of the seventh inning when Toney singled, scoring two runs. Mishawaka Varsity Cavemen rallied for the victory despite trailing 6-1 in the fourth. Mishawaka Varsity Cavemen got on the board in the second inning after Johns scored after tagging up. Mishawaka Marian flipped the game on its head in the top of the fourth, scoring six runs on five hits to take the lead, 6-1. The biggest blow in the inning was a double by Martin that drove in three. Mishawaka Varsity Cavemen jumped into the lead in the bottom of the seventh when Handley drew a walk, scoring one run, and Toney singled, scoring two runs. Chlebek earned the win for Mishawaka Varsity Cavemen. The pitcher surrendered one hit and zero runs over two innings, striking out two and walking none. Maloney took the loss for Mishawaka Marian. The pitcher went one and two-thirds innings, allowing four runs on one hit, striking out three and walking three. Pyle stepped on the mound first for Mishawaka Varsity Cavemen.
