Mishawaka Cavemen C-Team Stymied By Lowell

April 25, 2026 vs. Lowell Mishawaka Cavemen C-Team had trouble keeping up with Lowell in a 9-1 loss on Saturday at Mishawaka High School Ward Baker Park. Lowell got on the board in the top of the first inning after Woestman grounded out, and Huisman walked, each scoring one run. Lowell added to their early lead in the top of the second inning after Rush grounded out, and Woestman doubled down the left field line, each scoring one run. Bales earned the win for Lowell. The pitcher gave up two hits and one run over four innings, striking out seven and walking one. Joiner took the loss for Mishawaka Cavemen C-Team. The right-handed pitcher went three innings, giving up four runs on three hits, striking out three and walking five. Forslund led Mishawaka Cavemen C-Team with one run batted in. The third baseman went 1-for-2 on the day. Forslund and Kuhnle each collected one hit for Mishawaka Cavemen C-Team. Woestman drove the middle of the lineup, leading Lowell with three runs batted in. The shortstop went 2-for-4 on the day. Bales and Woestman were a force together in the lineup, as they each collected two hits for Lowell while hitting back-to-back. Rush led Lowell with two walks. Overall, the team had a strong eye at the plate, tallying seven walks for the game. Mishawaka Cavemen C-Team play at home on Saturday against Lowell in their next game.
