Mishawaka Varsity Cavemen Stymied By Goshen April 23, 2026 vs. Goshen Mishawaka Varsity Cavemen couldn't keep up with Goshen and fell 11-0 on Thursday at Mishawaka High School Ward Baker Park. Goshen got on the board in the top of the first inning after Cline doubled down the left field line, and Rapp singled down the left field line, each scoring one run. Goshen scored five runs on four hits in the top of the sixth inning. Meikle singled, scoring two runs, an error scored one run, Miller singled, scoring one run, and an error scored one run. Hoag earned the win for Goshen. The pitcher surrendered zero hits and zero runs over seven innings, striking out seven and walking one. Handley (2-1) took the loss for Mishawaka Varsity Cavemen. The hurler went five and two-thirds innings, giving up seven runs (five earned) on 12 hits, striking out five and walking three. Goshen amassed 16 hits in the game. Meikle provided pop in the middle of the lineup, and led Goshen with four runs batted in. The infielder went 3-for-5 on the day. Elliott set the tone at the top of the lineup, leading Goshen with four hits in five at bats. Marcum and Miller each collected multiple hits for Goshen. Goshen stole four bases in the game.
