Mishawaka JV Softball snatched the lead late in the game in a 10-6 victory over Bremen High School on Thursday. The game was tied at six with the Cavemen batting in the bottom of the fifth when Alexis Davenport singled on a 1-0 count, scoring two runs.
Both offenses were strong at the plate as Mishawaka collected 17 hits. Sydney Miles led things off in the pitcher’s circle for Mishawaka. She lasted three innings, allowing four hits and three runs. The Cavemen scattered 17 hits in the game. Miles, Davenport, Faith Hardy, and Katelin Pixley each managed multiple hits for Mishawaka. Miles went 4-for-4 at the plate to lead the Cavemen to victory.
