Mishawaka JV softball defeated Jimtown 9-8 on Monday after taking the lead late in the game. The game was tied at six with Jimtown batting in the top of the fourth when Yoder doubled on the first pitch of the at bat, scoring one run.
Both pitching staffs had their hands full, frequently dealing with runners on base. Mishawaka collected nine hits. The Cavemen knotted the game up at eight in the bottom of the sixth inning. Mishawaka scored two runs when Izzy Kukla doubled.
The Cavemen scored five runs in the third inning. The big inning was driven by a single by Faith Hardy and Dallas Hammond. An error on a ball put in play by Kukla, and a double by Alexis Davenport. Ashley Germann took the win for Mishawaka.
