The Cavemen hosted the Concord Minutemen on Tuesday to start off our third consecutive multi-meet week. Despite being in the middle of the most difficult training period of the season, our swimmers and divers earned 30 PRs on the night, 12 from the Girls squad and 18 from the Boys.
Junior Captain Ethan Stanton recorded the only first place finish of the night, shattering his personal best in the 200 Individual Medley and breaking 2:10 for the first time ever.
Concord has an impressive squad on both sides, but our Cavemen did not back down against our new Conference opponent, and our swimmers and divers remained resilient throughout the night. We look forward to seeing the Minutemen again soon!
Other noteworthy performances:
Senior Captain Takoda Stone set a new PR for 6 dives, scoring 209.75 points.
Sophomore Lucas Libbey set a new PR for 6 dives as well, scoring 254.60 points and eclipsing the 250 point barrier for the first time.
Freshman Lilly Deeds set a new PR for 6 dives, scoring 188.55 points to shatter her old record of 171.85 and moving closer to the 200 point barrier.
Senior Kiley Reynolds and Sophomore Davin Cockey both PR’d in 3 of their 4 events on the evening.
Next up is Clay before break!
