The Cavemen competed in the inaugural Northwood Invitational at McCormick Creek. The young Cavemen continued to show improvement by shooting a season low 374. The Cavemen have only had 3 practices, and only 1 since their 1st tournament, and they have already cut 11 strokes off their team score. Individually, Grace Vandenburg set a personal best by breaking 110 for the first time in her life. Her 106 was low for the team. Freshman, Joszlyn Thompson, is showing great potential as she broke 120 for the second time in 3 tournaments. To put that in perspective, last year’s team only had 4 scores under 120 all season. Claire Braniff showed a moment of greatest when she broke 60 on the front side as well. The Cavemen travel to Notre Dame’s Burke Golf Course tomorrow to take on St. Joe. The match’s 1st tee time is at 10:04. Come out and support the MHS girls golf team.
