South Bend Clay vs Mishawaka High School
58 123

The Cavemen hosted the Clay Colonials on Thursday evening, and despite having a brutal training session before the meet and a lot less time to recover between races, the boys still earned 16 PRs on the night and the “W” with a final score of 123 to 58. The Colonials have seen a massive increase in their team depth this year, nearly tripling in size from last season, but the Cavemen showed their strength across the board, taking victories in all but 2 of the 12 events.

The meet started off with huge performances by the Mishawaka Divers; Freshman Lucas Libbey broke his 6 dive PR by nearly 15 points, earning a massive 242.80 to take first. Junior teammate Takoda Stone took second place with a 206.30 – his first time above 200 and a PR by nearly 10 points. The 1-2 finish got swimmers fired up as the evening moved to the other side of the pool, which saw 6 of 8 Medley Relay swimmers earn lifetime bests in their individual splits.
