The Cavemen lost the lead late in a 10-4 defeat to New Prairie on Friday. Errors plagued the Cavemen late in the game. Ryan Watt took the loss for the Cavemen. He allowed five hits and five runs over four and two-thirds innings, striking out three. The Cavemen tallied nine hits. CJ Fisher, Derrick Dawson, and Sam Shively all collected two hits apiece. Shively had one double and Dawson had two. The Cavemen are 1-3 overall and 1-1 in the conference. They take on South Bend Adams on Monday April 16 at School Field with a 5:00 start.

The JV won a close one against New Prairie. Bryce Gruler kept the Cougars in check, but it was Alex Boggs who powered the Cavemen with 5 doubles. The team also takes on Adams on Monday at Baker Park.
