Coach Keith Kinder talked about the game at Northridge Friday night. The Cavemen are 4-1 in the NLC while Northridge and Warsaw are both 5-1. Warsaw plays Concord while Mishawaka travels to Middlebury. If the Cavemen win, they will have an interesting scenario. The NLC Conference decided that Mishawaka’s first round Sectional game with Goshen could also count as the conference game that was postponed because of a Covid Situation in September.
Coach talked about the Raiders being a really good team with great coaching, big time defense and a solid run game. He also talked about special moments like when Deb Koltz was honored for 27 years of service at the football game Friday, and Jacob Bush leading the team out onto the field. The sophomore and the team wasn’t looking for any fanfare, but it sure was cool to see the young man who has gone through adversity be the first to run out onto Steele Stadium against Northridge.
