Cheerleading & Wrestling🤼♂️
Has there been a person who has motivated you or supported you through your journey? My parents, all of my wrestling and cheer coaches, and Caiya Raes, my best friend were always there supporting me throughout my journey. A huge thank you to my wrestling coaches Steven Sandefer and Yancy Gradeless for always believing in me, pushing me to the fullest, and never giving up on me. I wouldn’t have been the wrestler I’ve become without all of their help whether it was minor or major fixes our team or even myself needed to adjust.
My favorite mishawaka memory is when the cheerleaders would always do our pre-game hype before a football game with the student section and players. Also my junior year when we beat Penn in football, then my senior year when we beat Penn in wrestling!! Another all time favorite memory is when the wrestling team would go down to Indy for IHSAA State in February!
My favorite college is: Notre Dame
My favorite quote is: “In wrestling you have many opponents, but the toughest opponent you will face is yourself.”
My advice for underclassmen is: never be afraid of being judged for who you are. If you have a passion or are curious, go for it because you might end up falling in love with the sport/club. Never be afraid to explore. Also just be your true self and always follow your heart.
My Future plans are: I am considering going to Ivy Tech to pursue Culinary
My message I want to give Mishawaka fans/athletes is: I want to thank everyone who was there to cheer me on during my 4 years playing sports, whether it was fans or my own teammates! Without these people, my experience would have not ended up the way it was. I had an amazing time attending Mishawaka High School and being on the wrestling and cheer team. The fans and other athletes made me realize how much I really loved being apart of the experience and doing the sport itself!
