Cavemen News · Mishawaka Wrestling is the NIC Champ!

Our Mishawaka Cavemen dominated the NIC Championships held at the historic Cave.   The Cavemen were wrestling in their final Northern Indiana Conference Tournament because starting this Fall, MHS will be in the Northern Lakes Conference.  Steve Sandefer was named the NIC Coach of the Year.  He was excited after winning the team’s first NIC title in 10 years.  “It’s really cool.  Everybody did their part.  We got a ton of falls which pushed us to the front of the pack early on and everybody finished the day strong.”

Senior Joe Walker was one of 7 Cavemen who went undefeated for Mishawaka.  Walker was named the Northern Indiana Conference Most Valuable Wrestler.

Champions for the Cavemen were Xavier Chavez, Brodie Fogarty, Brendon Mark, Cody Timmerman, Joe Walker, Jacob LaPlace and JT Thomas.
