Cavemen News · Mishawaka Coach Keith Kinder talks about the Sectional Game vs Elkhart Memorial

Mishawaka Football Coach Keith Kinder gets the Cavemen fans ready for the Sectional Semi-Final game against Elkhart Memorial.  The Cavemen are 6-3 while the Chargers are only 3-6.  But as Coach Kinder points out, Memorial has won two in-a-row, with wins over Wawasee 21-14 and Northridge 21-13.  They also just about beat Warsaw in a 38-35 game and NorthWood in a 47-37 loss.  This is a team that has the ability to score points.  Their head coach Scot Shaw is a Mishawaka grad.  He’s also a state champion coach from the state of Michigan.  It should be a great battle Friday night as the Cavemen defense is led by seniors JT Thomas and Derrick Dawson.  The Maroons offense gets a lift from quarterback Justin Fisher and all-state candidate Donovan Snyder.  Kickoff is set for 7 pm. Gates open at 5:30.  Tickets are only $6 and season tickets are not allowed since it’s an IHSAA Tournament game.  The winner between Memorial and Mishawaka will face either Concord or Elkhart Central next week for the Sectional Championship.
