Mishawaka got 213 yards rushing and 2 touchdowns from Senior Chris Harness on Senior Night to roll past Marian 35-17. Sam Shively added a TD rushing and one passing as fellow senior Brody Robinett hauled in a 33 yard bomb in the 2nd half.
The Cavemen enjoyed a lot of fan fair before and during the game as MHS dedicated the new track, the Irions Strength and Conditioning Center and Steele Stadium. It was also the first time Alumni Plaza was open for fans to see as the construction phase is coming to a close.
Mishawaka improved to 7-1 on the season and will now go on the road to play 7-1 Penn next Friday for the NIC North Championship. It’s the final game of the regular season and tickets will be available at Mishawaka High School during game week.
Sunday night the team will find out who they draw for the Sectional that starts on October 19th.
