In cooperation with St. Joe Health Systems, Mishawaka will offer a day at the high school where students can get athletic physicals for the 2018-19 school year. This includes current John Young Middle School 8th graders who will be freshmen next season. The cost of the physical is $25 and will be good for summer workouts as well as for the IHSAA seasons.
To play high school sports, the first and most important step in making sure you are safe is to have a physical. This is a requirement to play high school sports in Indiana. The physical will be kept on file in the athletic office. The next step is for the family and student to sign up on Final Forms.
St. Joe Sports Medicine will provide a number of doctors May 15th between 3 pm and 5 pm. Student athletes can come to The Commons near the MHS West Gym. Physicals take an estimated 10 minutes, once you reach the doctor. For more information, call the high school athletic office at (574) 254-7300 X7331.
